JIMMY ROBOT

In the Fall of 2013 the Mechanical Design course at Olin College collaborated with Intel's Open source robot initiative to work on Jimmy, a small humanoid robot. As the class advanced, we incorporated the different aspects of mechanical design into a different joints of the robot. To develop skills in co-design, each part of the humanoid was assigned to a different team. We were responsible for communicating with the team(s) of neighboring parts to ensure they fit together to create a cohesive design.

For the final project, teams were challenged to build a whole robot, each with a different height and number of allotted actuators. My team designed a 2 ft jimmy with 3 motors.
