TOOTHBRUSH
For my Computer aided design methods we were tasked to design a toothbrush. This project was meant to develop surface modeling skills.
The toothbrush is a freestanding toothbrush meant to be an accessory in the bathroom.
To provide the best cleaning experience, the toothbrush has a rubber thumb grip. The grip is textured and soft, reducing the risk of sliding fingers.
CONCEPT
FEATURES
When designing the brush, I focused on a design that had a larger base to provide a larger area to grip. I also focused on a design that would integrate more into the bathroom. Instead of a curved design, I chose to go with a hexagonal shape.
The toothbrush is the same length as average manual toothbrushes, and the head is 1.19 inches which falls within the range of the recommended length from the American Dental Association
The toothbrush also features three different types of bristles green harder bristles, taller angled bristles, and soft white bristles. The different bristles allow for more cleaning power.
The unique hexagonal shape of the handle allows the toothbrush to stand and is sure to stand out from more popular toothbrush shapes.
